Why 2011 is the year for increasing customer loyalty

Customer loyalty is so 2011! Today, businesses boast customer loyalty, not just sales. We only need to look at the retail stores, to see how successful loyalty programs can be. For instance, take one of the giants of retail loyalty programs; Boots, who estimated 70%%%% of their sales revenue in 2010, was due to their loyalty program. While this program might be older news for Tesco, who launched their loyalty card in 1995, they still attribute around 52%%%% of their increased sales to the loyalty program in 2010 (they estimate 500,000 transactions a day!).
